A registered office must be a proper street address, and it must be staffed so that official post can be received, signed for and brought to the attention of the directors. A PO Box address will not meet the legislative requirements and can not be used as an official address.
You can use your home address as a registered office as long as it is located in the UK and, if you rent your home, you have your landlord’s consent. Details of your company, including its registered office address and the official address of each of the directors and officers of your company, are published on Companies House website. The Companies House website is available to anyone who has access to the internet. If you are using your home address as your company's registered office, it will be available to anyone who has an interest in finding it.
Our Registered Office service allows you and your fellow officers to keep your home address private and gives your company an address in central London. Our service includes free scanning of official mail and a free service address for your directors, shareholders and company officers so that they can also maintain their privacy. Your scanned official mail will be uploaded to a secure sharefile account, for you to access and store and you will be notified whenever we process post for you. We do not charge for scanning post and we do not charge when you change your details or you add or remove other company officers. The annual renewal fee for this service is £39+vat.
The Official mail that we will scan for you as part of this service is restricted to letters from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Companies House, Government Gateway, Department of Works and Pensions (DWP), Office for National Statistics, Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service, and the Intellectual Property Office.
The annual renewal fee is £39+vat. This is the lowest renewal fee of any Central London address service provider because the following items are always free:

This service is an upgrade to the Registered Office Service and is only available to users of our Registered office Service. Business post is the term we use for all mail that is not from a government source such as HMRC or Companies House. Typically, business post includes letters from banks, suppliers and customers. As with official post, your business mail will be scanned and uploaded to ShareFile. You will be notified that you have post by email and text (if we have your mobile number). The secure ShareFile facility is hosted by Citrix and provides a convenient way to store your documents. It also saves you having to search countless emails to find a document. Should you wish, you could also email us any other documents you would like stored on ShareFile, and we will upload them free of charge
Original documents will be held for 1 month and then securely shredded. If you require an original document, then please ask us to retrieve it from our archives within the month. If you need an original, then there will be a handling charge of £3.50 + VAT plus post. The annual renewal fee for this service is £9+vat.
Add this service if you would like official mail, and non-official (business or general) mail scanned. Business Mail includes letters from banks, suppliers and customers. Your business mail will be scanned and uploaded onto Citrix Sharefile and securely shredded after one month. Scanning is free. Original copies can be sent to you if you order them in time. We charge £3.50 +vat + post to process and forward each original item.
This service is preferred by clients who simply want their post forwarded to them instead of using our scanning service. It applies only to official mail such as letters from HMRC, Companies House and other Government and judicial sources.
Add this upgrade as an alternative to having your commercial mail scanned. All your mail (official and non-official) will be sent to you by post. We will charge you 20p per item handling fee plus postage.
This upgrade service is an alternative upgrade available to our registered office subscribers. All your post will simply be forwarded to you.
